There are no additional fees for an occasional email, a return text, or an occasion (brief) 5-minute phone call.
Specialties/Longer sessions (such as ART or EMDR, couples, or family sessions) can be scheduled and will be priced accordingly.

A service fee of $60 for the first time and $100 for further late cancels will be charged. The fee is the same for no shows.

Is insurance accepted?
I am currently accepting a limited number of new clients insured with Blue Cross Blue Shield of AZ. for standard sessions. Specialty sessions not covered by insurance may incur an additional co-pay
Aside from BCBS all others are private pay.
NOTE: You can check to see if your insurance provides a benefit for out-of-network mental health care. We will provide you with a “super bill” which you then send your insurance company for reimbursement.

What are my dollars paying for in therapy?
The dollars invested in therapy are purchasing a lot more than you may think. The first and most obvious is the time spent with the therapist.
Other things to consider that are often overlooked in considering dollar-for-dollar value of therapy include: the expertise of the therapist, the ongoing/continuing education they have taken that informs them on how to best serve clients such as yourself, and of course the time spent on each client after the session is over. This includes the continuing time spent by the therapist of taking notes, consulting or doing research.
Other professionals, such as mediators and attorneys, charge for these extra services by keeping record of all the time spent on your case and in your best interest in and out of their office and then send you a monthly bill. Therapists have a an “all inclusive” per session flat fee.
You’re worth it!
